pacquiao doesn't need the uppercuts as much as cotto's other opponents did since cotto keeps his gloves to the sides of his face.

example marg killed him with uppercuts but that's because the uppercut is the only punch marg can land down the middle. marg throws loopy punches.

with pac , the left will be right down the pipe and open , so best to go with his bread and butter. plus uppercuts will have to be thrown from up close. not a good idea for pac to be up close. if he's close enough for the uppercut , he's too close to cotto imo.

i'm scared pac will throw it from too far away and get caught with a right.

best to keep it the distance and just use that speed advantage.

pac hasn't been throwing much uppercuts lately but when he use to throw it a lot when he was younger he was wild , sloppy and crazy with it.

maybe if cotto bullies him to the ropes an uppercut up close will be good , aside from that bread and butter jab and straight for me with the occassional hook.

his straight lefts would do to me. the one in the oscar fight.that was hell to fast.the way his feet clicks and jumps.then he's on another angle. that was good boxing and safe also.
