In a way yes, but Pac/Roach always have plans A, B, and C. As great as Tito was he fought one way and if you were able to take away his strenghts like BHop did then there wasn't much Tito or Papa Tito could do.

On a sidenote, I am still convinced that Papa Tito wanted his son to lose that fight and retire. I could go on but Exhibit A is that fact that for the first time ever he never slapped Tito in between rounds.

Mark my words, If Cotto makes weight w/out draining himself, he will destroy manny. He will beat manny the same way he beat Zab Judah, punch him in the gut, face, nads, where ever there's an opening. Unless Pac-man uses the ol' Margarito gloves, Manny will get KO'd. Yes, Cotto has lost a little bit off the ol' fast ball, but...remember Cotto beat Mosley, and Cotto will beat Manny, trust me.
