No, but I'm sure he'll be ranked number two. The guy has beat everyone in the division except for Margarito, in which that loss is now suspect. The only other person to face P4P or at 147 is Mayweather... This is what happens when you don't duck fighters, no one can say there is anyone else out there to face if you've already fought and beaten the best.

You should be looking for some odds on that. At least 4-1.

Manny has big balls, bigger than most of us

The more I hear from Cotto's camp, the more I feel they're planning a counter-punch sort of fight.

It worked beautifully against Judah and Mosley (tho not without its complications), and, in fairness, it has worked quite well for Marquez against Manny over two fights.

Cotto fights well on the counter and has the sort of tenacity that means he can work beyond serious punishment, all the while applying his (very effective) sort of pressure.

Still, I have to give Roach the nod for forseeiing Cotto persuing this type of fight. It's worked for him (C) against speedy southpaws in the past and it very well may do the trick on the 14th.

Nevertheless, I think Manny's going to be far more disciplined in the ring than he was with Marq II. He (C) is visibly the bigger guy, his counters are far more devastating and he'll quickly apply offense as defense if he sees it's bearing results.

I think what we're going to see on the 14th is Manny unleashing the gameplan vs De La Hoya against a very live, very smart, very strong welter. Will it work? Against Cotto, yes, I believe it can be done, given the right strategy defensively. And I think of all the welter(ish) fighters out there, Pacquiao can do it.

How exactly do you know this? Are you one of "those" people who think Marquez is somehow worse than Diaz, Hatton and DLH? Pac looks better no doubt, but its because he hasn't been in the ring with anyone on his level. The last time he was JMM gave him all he could handle, and it will be the same on Nov 14.

I read somewhere that P. Williams wants the Pacquiao/Cotto winner. I guess he can still make 147.

the pac from right now would whoop JMM's ass. last time they fought pac was still more of a one hand puncher and Roach said he stuggled to make 130.

I'm sure he does, but he'll never get it. With Floyd and Mosley out there, not to mention rematch possibilities there is no way an unknown MW is going to get in on the biggest draws in the sport.
