Do you care about "the sport" growing?

If the sport doesn't grow on HBO, why would the regular networks broadcast boxing?

naw man! it builds hype, they have great camera work, voice over... all in all the production value is pretty high...and lets face it boxing need all the help it can get.

Obviously I'd luv everyone on earth to luv boxing. But Pac and Cotto do their talkin in the ring. Anybody who expected thrillin smack talk in this 24/7 was kiddin themselves. And a ton of people not carin bout this 24/7 ain't gonna kill boxing.

The **** is a cool concept, but it don't need to be done for every PPV fight. Save 24/7 for truly special fights; undisputed champs bein crowned, longtime rivals settlin a feud, 2 absolute best fighters in a division goin at it, etc.

And speakin only for myself, I've heard enuf about this fight, I just wanna see it already. **** ratings, **** PPV buys, and **** other men's $. I don't give a ****. I'll be watchin the fight at a homey's house. I hope it's good. If it sucks, shame on me for wastin my time, but I ain't payin for it. If it ends up bein a gr8 fight, lol at whoever missed it.

Id be willing to that PPV buys are not mutually exclusive to 24/7 viewership. So Pac/Cotto not doing at least 1 million buys would be par for the course considering its lackluster 24/7 ratings.

Yeah the 24/7's aren't that good. But I'm gonna watch the fight. Maybe they won't do "Mayweather" numbers, but it doesn't take anything away from these two guys.

It's gonna be a good fight, and if doesn't do well, oh well. Boxing's been around for a long time, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon, especially not because of a bad 24/7 series.
