DLH was like a saint and Mayweather was like the devil. You need manicheism and Good VS Bad opposition or at least have colorful fighters. Pacquiao and Cotto do their talk in the ring and aren't entertaining OUTSIDE the ring. They're sportsmen but aren't interested in the business and entertainment part of the sport. Floyd does, that's why he's gettin huge paydays fighting smaller men and easier opponents.

24/7 with a Cotto VS Margarito rematch would be the **** though.
Yeah right, that means Floyd is more of an entertainer than a boxer, that's why he is not fighting any of the true top WWs.

You should be posting on the entertainment section not in sports!

My god boxing has become a joke, they pick the least p4ps to be p4p. & now roach is the best coach ? & all he tells pac in every fight is, he can't handle ur speed use the jab than the left... Well duh it's the only punches he's got & that's y jmm gave him hell cuz roaches plan is always the same dumb plan & pac only has one style of fight.
      God I can't wait 4 Nov.14
There is so much hate in you dude, I suggest you take a break from visiting sports forum or even watching sports specially boxing. You might have stroke or heart attack for not controlling ur feelings, you might end up in a coma or a coffin.

like I said, Pac gets completely outboxed against zab.
How come? is this a prediction or an opinion?

I admit that watching 24/7 is like eating too much cheesecake, but I think HBO realizes that to generate PPV buys outside of the boxing community they need to create drama through cinemetography regardless of how hokie it all looks to the hard-core boxing fan. Lets face it, most Americans can't tell you the capital of Missouri, or find Kansas on the map, but they'll tell you all about the personal lives of overprivileged "housewives" in NYC or who Brett Michaels shagged last weekend. It sucks to see HBO use all of their talents and rescources to try and appeal to the lowest common denominator of American entertainment sensibilities, but I think they feel that they have no other choice in a nation of drama queens that live vicariously through anything that comes across their 46" plasmas... 24/7 is a great idea that is nonoetheless hampered and infected by big budget David Bay-ism. (But I'll still be tuning in next Saturday).

Apparently Pacman was a little frustrated with the situation.
True that we didn't see the whole sparring sections but the way that Roach adrressed and aproached Pacquaio, at least for that day, it didn't look to good.
I think on both camps have a bad day or days, there's no camp that goes smoothly the entire duration of it. For sure it will have bad day/s and it's a fact and unavoidable. Unless the entire duration of your training is a mess then that's a real problem though.

A little too cynical but overall an excellent review. I guess adding in footage of an old fighter (like when Cliff mentioned Tyson and Louis, I believe?) wouldn't make it a 24/7--have they ever done that before? The concept seems to be focusing on the fighters, well, 24/7. But that would be sweet, if they showed clips of a past fighter who may or may not have accomplished what Manny is trying to do. Still, I'm enjoying the little bit of insight I've been given. I really hope they concentrate on the fight in these last two episodes with both guys wrapping it up. Let's see.

I don't agree with this critizism about not saying the importance of this fight. They can't say this on the first episode. 24/7 is intended for outsiders for the sport. So they first have to show different angles to introduce the fighters not necessarily as fighters. Then they can go in with all that. I'm sure that they will give the importance of this fight in the last episode when is all about the fight. With the weight in and all and the stare down when it's gonna get intense and they can show a more brutal side per say

5:30... interesting that Manny had promised Roach he wouldn't be meeting with any Politicians.

Look at dios dominicano aka al haymon having so much pride that fraud jr.'s 24/7 is more exciting than pacquiao.

Good for you. Keep your exciting 24/7.

We will keep the exciting fights & knockouts of pacquiao.
