Klitschko Makes His Move To Promise Povetkin a Shot

Recently the IBF made a decision to order an interim-title fight between mandatory Alexander Povetkin and the highest ranked available challenger, who happens to be ex-champion Sam Peter. The winner secures a shot at the full champion Wladimir Klitschko. [details]

Since Joe Louis, I don't think that any heavyweight has acquired such massive domination over the division as either brother, and in fact it must be some sort of record for 2 brothers to be in that position.

I don't know if ANY opponent is even fancied to last the 12 rounds, in V K's record only one has. And age doesn't seem to have caused any deterioration ....so far.

What's so funny? That was a good post. The Klitschko Brothers completely dominate and KO all of their opponents.

You're just another ******ed Klitschko hater.

Peter has no buisness in the top ten, like Tua he is way to one dementional. Good for Povetkins team, Wlad might change his mind again. Wlad should have tried to fight him instead of persuing a useless hapless Gaye fight. Getting the most money for a fight your gonna lose is better than getting paid less.

The heavyweight division is in it's worst state possibly ever.

Who are the top fighters: Chris Arreola? Eddie Chambers? Kevin Johnson? Nikolai Valuev? John Ruiz? Sam Peter???

                lol

                What a wasteland.

At least Povetkin is a live body especially now that he has Teddy Atlas training him.

No need for Interim Fight. Povetkin pulls out and than he wants tune-up fights.
Now he had too wait until summer. No problem there.

No, Povetkin had the best amateur record of all time at super heavyweight, including the Olympic Gold in 2004.

But now that he has that idiot Atlas working with him, he's sure to go down the drain.
