Everyone is looking at Cotto's fight against Shane and the boxing ability he showed in the later rounds. That's the kind of "boxing ability" that PAC will pick apart!!

Cotto's best chance to victory is to impose his size and power through perpetual motion, not box PAC.

JMM/Erika's boxing ability are worlds apart from Cotto's. Cotto is much better at bullying, rather than boxing!
cotto's boxing ability isn't all he's got tho... he's a lot bigger than pac and his speed is not tha bad, and he's a hard puncher and he's physically strong.

    all pac has is speed.

compared to pac hes a much better boxer. all pac has done is learned how to use his right hand hes off balance throwing punches. if cotto somewhat times pacs speed. pac isnt gonna be able to outbox him

That's where you're missing the boat. The point of the thread is not to compare "boxing abilities" between the two. My point is, that Cotto's "boxing ability" is not gonna be the main factor. Cotto is simply much better at pursuing his opponent rather than box. If y'all think he's gonna take a slice from JMM's gameplan and try to win it that way, y'all are badly mistaken.

Cotto has good boxing ability not as good as Mayweather for example but much better than Pac.....ppl are confusing his great speed with great boxing ability. Cotto is clearly the better boxer of the two in terms of skill.

              "much better" is an exaggeration.

I think Cotto is aware that he'll have to impose his size and strength on Pacquiao. But the boxing ability he's probably working on isn't going backwards but coming forward; parrying punches, side stepping, jabbing, hooking of Pac's jab followed by the straight right down the middle, all the while working on closing the distance. It's a tall order.

Pac will be a handful but Pac is no Margarito, the problem for Cotto there was he was taken out of his element. Cotto likes to be the cautious aggressor and with Tony he couldn't due to a bigger man not afraid of his power coming at him throwing 100 punches per round......Pac will and should be cautiously moving in this fight.
