COTTOs Body Work has been Poor lately, and nobodies able to get to PACQUIAO's body...

COTTO wasnt able to get to Margarito's body, He never really landed that big left hook to the body against Mosley.

He did a decent job going to the body against Clottey, but Clottey just stood there.

And then on the flipside, Pacquiao is almost never hurt to the body. IN recent fights he is never worn down or hurt from a consistant body attack. He just moves around to quickly and too well, and he avoids the ropes very well too.

Pacquiao is much more difficult to hit then he is given credit for. Although all of pacmans opponents recently have been slow, and Cotto is by far the the fastest opponent Pacquiao has fought above 130 pounds

Point being, If Cotto isnt able to work the body i dont think he will be able to win the fight. And judging from both fighters histories, it's an uphill battle working the pacmans ribs.

All in all,Cotto really hasn't been going to the body as much lately!!I personally believe he didn't go to the body much against Mosley & Margarito because they were the biggest guys he has fought!!I believe Cotto is gonna go to the body against Pacman because Pacman isn't going to be the 1 pressuring,Cotto is gonna be doing that!!

When has Cotto ever effectively counterpunched some1 as good and as fast as Pacquiao.

He did a decent job against Mosley, but Cotto is CLEARLY not a counter puncher. He is at his best when he is coming forward putting the pressure on.

and he NEVER lands counter body shots. He doesnt even attempt them. It was an effective punch for Marquez against Pacquiao though

bottom line..Cotto can counter punch and is MUCH MORE heavy handed than Marquez..so if a few of those counter punches that wobbled Pacquiao in the Marquez fight..Cotto can DROP him with a counter..thing is..Cotto is a "Boxer/Puncher" he can do it all!!..and adapt in the middle..meaning he won't go 3min of a round just stalking and pressuring..he'll confuse you and start counterpunching..

thats a good point, but Pacquiao will be out of range constantly, and if Cotto wants to hit the body he'll either have to reach or counter. It will be a struggle for him i believe
