It is possible that the split was steroids-related. Perhaps Moorer didn't approve or he wanted to get the steroids program at Wild Card under control
goddamit , al. quit trying to piss people off with your steroids talk.

pacquiao has so many idiots around him. if he did do it , eventually it'll come out.

2 more weeks , al. what are your sources telling you about how well pac-cotto is gonna do?

sounds like a successor to me.
I think it was more the fact that he needed help at the gym given his condition, already knew Moorer and that he was a southpaw.

It doesn't really hint at successor to me, but that's just my opinion.

I can't see why Roach, clearly an intelligent man, would choose to hand over his gym, legacy and his fighters careers/legacy to Michael moorer of all people.

830K was the projection a few weeks back. That may be softening. The promotion has been poor.

Ask yourself, and be honest: is there hype for this fight outside of the boxing boards (yes, there is life outside of boxing boards).

Have you seen mainstream buzz for this fight?

Think about the other fights that did 900K to 1.2 million:
        Oscar-Hopkins
        Oscar-Mayorga
        Oscar-Tito
        Floyd-Hatton
        etc

.....does this build-up feel like those? Honestly?

The guy came across has an irritating prick on the Hatton/Pacquiao 24/7 or the camera made him looked that way.

No, And am suprised for me it doesnt matter if the fight is going to be good we still need this fight to be hyped and advertised, Top rank is not doing a top job on this fight and i think they just dont want to spend money promoting it.

Even though Top rank would probably make more money in this fight than Pacquaio and cotto.

i haven't seen much advertisement on tv but it's still early.

hard for me to tell tbh. i live in l.a. so pac gets a little more coverage in the l.a. times/daily news/riverside press/long beach telegram etc. because of the amount of filipinos in los angeles.

the buzz definitely is a lot less than floyd-oscar or oscar-pac though.

we'll see. how much did hatton-pac do? i think this might do a little better than that.

no wonder it took many years for floyd to get where he's at...

i've only see 4 commercials on ESPN in the last 3 days .
Have you seen commercials/promotion outside of traditional sports venues?

Pac is scheduled to go on Kimmel. What else?

Michael Moorer's personality was the main problem. He simply was not a personable guy. And in the customer service industry(ie running a gym) one needs to be friendly, I mean, the goal is to have people keep coming back.

But, Moorer saw people more as a nuisance, he played the role of "cop" rather than be accomodating and showing hospitality. He definitely added some great insight as an asst trainer, especially training PAC, who is a southpaw like Moorer. But, his input in training wasn't the issue, it was his treatment of the people around the fighters, gym visitors and members.
