Why Was Michael Moorer Fired From Pacquiao's Team?

I was wondering why he wasn't on the 24/7.. How come Michael Moorer wasn't in the Pacquiao training camp this time around? He seemed to be helping Roach a lot during the training camp of the Hatton fight and Roach was giving pretty positive feedback about him. Was it Roach or Pacquiao, or maybe even Michael Koncz who fired Moorer?

They parted ways ages ago, I believe it was due to personal differences.

Moorer is a very difficult man to be around, ask anyone that's spent time with him.

      ages ago?

moorer was in pacquiao's corner for the hatton fight a few months ago.

roach was setting moorer up to be his successor and right hand (he can't go on much longer with his parkinson's)

i don't know if roach and double m had any issues but roach did pick him to help him and it's not like he doesn't know how double m is , he trained michael as a fighter before.

from what i've read , they say the fighters roach was training didn't like moorer. guys like pacquiao and khan.

if roach's fighters (especially his main money guy and a future money guy in pacquiao and khan) don't get along with moorer , roach has no choice but to let him go.

Moorer always has problems with trainers...like he had with Stewart when he brought him out of the hood and into boxing, he fucked Stewart, got with Atlas, won the HW title thanks to Atlas, and then after losing it fucked Atlas over.

        he's an idiot anyway.

If i'm Manny...I'll hire James Toney to help him on sparring or to serve as a punching bag.

The thread starter implies this is some novel development, when Moorer left basically straight after the Hatton fight, like, within a day or two. Hence why I said ages ago.

I don't remember any mention of him becomming his successor, all I remember is that he was brought in to take the edge off the intense life Roach was living.

the talk leading up to the hatton fight was moorer was helping take the load off of roach since he's so busy (also because of roach's condition) and that he's learning from roach.

sounds like a successor to me.

mm was a gifted fighter. great skills and a lot of tools.

shame he never really dedicated himself to the sport 100% when he was boxing.

Nah, Stewart parted ways with MM since he wanted to focus on Gerald McClellan more
