From Luis12 Quote: sad part is that camacho sr had so much potential and skills but lack the discipline.
Camacho Sr. was a great fighter, but started take **** ending up in jail many times. He would've done a lot more had it not been for his crazy ways.Comment

this is absolutely pathetic, i thought campas was finished back when vargas waxed him and then de la hoya used him as fodder on ppv back in 03, but this **** is just shamefulComment

Camacho Sr. is a legend and one of the most naturally gifted boxers ever. It bugs me whenever people try to discredit his style as that of a runner and bypass his pure boxing skills. Yes, he lost to Chavez and De La Hoya but he was way past his best. On the other hand he beat Chapo, Ramirez, Limon, Mancini, and Boza Edwards, just to name some. Comparing him to his son is a joke.Comment

Both Camachos have "boxing brains". Camacho jr was really fighting 20 lbs over his natural boxing weight, and had 3 points penalty. Otherwise he would have won very easily.I think Campas should call it a day and retire. He was a good boxer and great warrior in the ring.
Camacho Sr could have been one of the very best if he was more disciplined. The word was that the man never trained for a fight.Party animal.
Looks to me like Jr will be just another part time fighter. It's to bad,Camacho Jr has some skills...or had.
One of the things I've noticed about Senior, is, that he has an uncanny gift of knowing just how much [or little] he needs to do to get a win. He was a great fighter, deserving of HOF 1st ballot.Comment

How the **** is this avenging anything??? Campas is like 78 years old...true story....At the Don Haskins Convention Center in El Paso, Texas, Hector Camacho Jr. (50-3-1, 27 KOs) avenged his father by winning a ten round split decision over Yory Boy Campas (92-15-1, 74KOs) in a middleweight contest. Campas, a long time veteran of the game, fought to a draw with Hector Camacho Sr. in May. The scores were 95-92, 96-91 for Camacho and 95-92 for Campas. [details]
