LOS ANGELES -- Manny Pacquiao believes the biggest potential fight in boxing will never happen because Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants no part of him.

Pacquiao is training in Hollywood for his meeting with Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14, but the pound-for-pound champion spared a moment Thursday to consider his chances of fighting pay-per-view king Mayweather in what would be an extremely lucrative bout for both fighters.

"I don't think it's going to happen," Pacquiao says. "I'm sure he doesn't want to fight."

Pacquiao says Mayweather treats boxing too much like a business and doesn't care about entertainment value for his fans. Pacquiao is known for his crowd-pleasing style, while Mayweather is boxing's most accomplished tactician.

thats exactly how i feel about floyd, pac is right. pac entertains and gives money's woth, floyd just scams the public with his opponents and strategy in the ring.

first castillo fight was close but im sorry the oscar fight was no where even near being close!!

I totally disagree...I was watching for Mayweather to break out the elusiveness that he is known for but it never really came. I thought Oscar won a lot more rounds than he should but that's my opinion.

I guess we should take some time to learn to know Mr. Compubox Scores too, how he scores and how he punch stats in determining if we should believe in his total punch output for the fight?

Compu box is not a tool for scoring fights~ it is something for the audience. If you can not disregard the punchstat numbers or the announcers you should not be scoring fights just enjoy them as a fan~.

Total punch output has very little bearing on who won more rounds or do you just score a fight for who lands more punches overall even though someone could have lost more rounds while landing more punches.

Only because that fight was the closest of his fights, it was a close fight but not even close to a robbery. People who have not watched boxing in years are not really who I would put much stock into their scoring. They both landed on each other Floyd dominated the first six and JLC Came on but did not sweep the last six rounds they were hard fought.


Fights are scored round by round not how somebody has a worried look about the score at the end. it was a hard fought fight of course he was happy and relieved that he won~

He did~ that is why it was a close fight Floyd controlled the first part of the fight with his jab and fought fromt eh outside, the second half JLC came on with body punching but Floyd stood his ground and fought it out as he could not longer just fight from the outside.

When the fight was contested on the outside Floyd was outboxing him soundly, those are teh first six rounds.

What did JLC do in the first six rounds other then get outboxed by Floyd?

Why does he sparr just 12 rounds on peak in his camp?? If you want to be comfortable for a 12 round bout, i think you should sparr at least 14 rounds in the gym, so it will be more comfortable in the ring to go 12. Even though the fight will propably not go to the scores. On the other hand Pacquai is always in great shape in his fights, so theres no need to complain, BUT he had not to go the full 12 for a while.
