u guys talk about takin a knee in that situation like all his respect is lost..he had a broken nose for about 7 rounds which limited his breathing..forcing him to breathe through his mouth, which was also full of blood..he was bleeding through his ears and still fought on for 4 or 5 rounds with this condition..he was drained and couldn't fully protect himself without suffering more intense damage..cotto is still a warrior and withstood a tremendous amount of punishment that would have sent ur ass crying after 30 seconds to ur mom..so for all our sake just STFU
Cotto is averaging 65 punches a round in this training camp

LOL. lord have mercy... and i was expecting a brutal devastating beatdown even if cotto was planning to go into the fight with the same gameplan he's used for his recent fights. honestly, i think pacquiao could suffer brain damage or a severe life threatening injury that night. it's not the first time something of that nature has happened in the sport of boxing.
this one best describes what cotto went during his date with margarito
good for him he took a knee or we would be watching Pac vs. Mosley on 14thComment

maybe the bone wasn't "broken" but it bled pretty much the whole fight..he's a report from our very own Mark Vester:
By Mark Vester
According to Jose "Joey" Gomez, the downfall of Miguel Cotto were the bodyshots of Antonio Margarito, and the busted nose that continued to bleed throughout the fight. Gomez, one of Cotto's cornermen and a close friend since they were kids, said that a Margarito uppercut busted Cotto's nose and they were unable to stop the continous flow of blood in the corner. Margarito stopped Cotto in the eleventh-round to capture the WBA welterweight title last Saturday in Las Vegas.
"That punch produced a lot of blood, we tried to use medicine to stop it. It was affecting his breathing. He was forced to breathe through his mouth and he was being hit with a lot of bodyshots. We gave him specific instructions on what to do in the fight, he a lot of times he wasn't able to do it."
