he seems pretty insistent on fighting in his backyard only. probably why the fight was never made. he knew he couldn't get another mclellan buddy ref in there to help him cheat.

well mcclellan already had brain damage going into the fight if you believe his close friends and family and he didn't exactly win fair and square. barkley and mclellan were good but they arent the best. that's why i said he didn't fight the best americans. unless you think barkley is better than toney?

no but he didn't get the chance to fight toney or rjj, you saw the vid he wanted to fight rjj badly.

he beat up a good few fighters, now give credit where credit is due.

yes on his terms and in his hometown. it doesn't work that way when you are the b-side. if he wanted the fight bad enough he could have taken it. he didn't.

WTF he said he'd fight him in his backyard. Jones had the chance to face Benn in 93 for his WBC belt but chose to move back down to middleweight to fight Hopkins.

did he? hard to understand him it sounded like i'll fight him in my backyard. he wanted to fight jones before he even won a belt or beat toney? wasn't he a nobody then? i don't see how you can say jones ducked benn when he was the only one who ever offered a fight. maybe warren turned it down to make benn more money fighting bums.

Who cares if he never fought Jones. Benn was the man.

there is no evidence of him not offering. there is only evidence of him offering backed up by hbo.
