that is exactly my point. It seems like Cotto isn't reaching his full potential. He's like that kid in class that doesn't need to take notes, sleeps through some lectures, and still gets a A-B average on any tests or homework.

And that is pretty amazing right there. But I do want to see Cotto with a good trainer. To see what he can accomplish. If Cotto loses to PAc I will definetly will blame it on this "bad trainer" situation

            Sorry for my bad writing.

Yes. Even though he connected to Shane Mosley, I'd love to see what Brother Nasheem could do with Cotto as far as strategy. I also think he'd work out some of the kinks in Cotto's defense.

Votes are pretty split down the middle now..

At the heart of it the question is..is Cotto a PBF type of fighter, that needs little to no direction? Because I tend to think he gives Santiago the directions, not the other way around

                  exactly.

I think back to the Margarito fight. What if he had had a more aware trainer like Roach or ****m Richardson? Strategy wise, not to mention catching the use of the plaster. That whole disaster could have been cut off at the pass.

Do you think Cotto is the type of fighter, like Floyd, that doesn't really need a trainer anymore, that basically trains himself? Or is it going to effect Cotto's preparation for the fight negatively?

                      Poll to follow
He dosnt seem to think so, as we saw on 24/7 he just wants to hang out with friends leading up to the fight and run his own camp. his new "trainer" is in charge of jack squat.
