Who knew that a thread about a hypothetical mathcup between a shot William Joppy and a realitve no name middleweight Raymond Joval would spark such a heated debate?
Knives, I understand that you like Joppy's style. I agree that he was very good and his jab is one of the best in the sport even now. But out of all the things you wrote, the one about Wright schooling Trinidad made no sense. Even if Wright gets the win ( something that I doubt), it would not be a boxing lesson. Maybe a close decision would be the worst case scenario.
The thing is that I don't think that Wright has the style to school Trinidad. First, because he comes forward and even though he has a very good torso defense, fighting in front of Trinidad will be a huge mistake. Second, he does not have enough power to keep Trinidad at bay. Last but not least, Trinidad never had trouble with southpaws. Having exposed my thoughts, I must finish by stating that the best that Wright could get would be a close decision.
since your previous post was like 4 pages long i won't quote it all but you said IMO he would dismantle Mayorga, Joval, Eastman again, and even has a shot at beating Winky when he is through taking Trinidad to school.
now you tell me what i responded to after that. I'm done replying to your posts for now because you are very thickheaded.
