If you label yourself as a warrior, you should be ridiculed if you quit

If a fighter calls themselves a warrior, he should be taunted, teased, clowned and shamed if he decided to quit in my opinion, no two ways about it.
In reality a warrior would never quit, he would go on his shield and give it his very best until the bitter end.

This is why Cotto is laughed at when he chose willingly to take two knees against Margarito, when he has the chance to go out like a warrior. The funny thing is, Cotto was labelled the “man breaking” and “beat you up guy”. Yet when he faced in adversity in a Mexican warrior named Margarito he choose the cowardly(Rican) way out. Not only was he satisfied with taking a knee, he took it in front of his fans and his family. A warrior would never quit in front of his kids. He would teach his son, never give up and always give your best shot and never say no. But now Cotto son is set up for failure. Whenever he tries to do something hard, he will just quit and move on.

Duran should also be taunted and ridiculed until the end of time. The man is biggest quitter in boxing history. Cotto at least has some form of dignity left due to Margarito punches brutalized his perfectly plucked eyebrows. Duran knew he was going to loss, but his hands up and said no words that will forever shame and tarnish his overrated legacy “ No Mas”.

But now let’s compare Cotto to Margarito. Margarito is a true warrior, no if or buts about it. He went on his shield against roids Mosley. He could have called it quits in round 8, but like a true Aztec warrior he was never going to take 2 knees or quit. He knew his fate; he knew he was going to be KO’d in front of his faithful fans. He took Mosleys brutal punches with a smile. Margarito kids will succeed in life. They will have the attitude of never say die. When faced with adversity they will laugh at it and say bring it on.

I read somewhere, that a Mexican sees death, they chase, make to love and befriend. Or something like that. Great quote
Also this is why Nate Campbell is discredited. He calls himself the The
Galaxxy Warrior, yet quit. How shameful

But if a fighter like Paulie M quit, I wouldn’t care. He doesn’t label himself a warrior. He doesn’t think he is Mancho and so on.

the nature of the sport is never to quit, however I remember Alexis Argüello getting interviewed after he decided not to get up in the rematch against Aaron Pryor, he broke down and said that he didn't want to die in the ring (or something along those lines).

That is also bravery, imo, then against they don't make warriors like Frazier anymore.

Did u see Cotto's face after the Margarito fight, what about Gatti when he fought floyd, are u a pro fighter who went 10 rounds with a bigger, stronger man who may not have fought fairly??1 more thing, what about fighters who call themselves the greatest but won't fight anyone in their weight class??Judging by the way u post, seems like ur a fan of floyd's huh??If u are, remember Margarito called his a$$ out about 6 inches from his face & he didn't ever, ever fight him,but he sure did Marquez, see the point??Why would anyone question Cotto about heart, didn't he fight Clottey for 9 rounds with 1 eye, after his well deserved tuneup with Jennings??

Did you see Taylor’s face against JCC?? He was willingly to continue. But Cotto chose to take two knees

What does this got to do with Floyd. This is about people calling themselves warriors but choosing the cowardly way out

I don't think Cotto or Duran ever claimed they were warriors.

Duran quit out of frustration. I'm sure you have quit things because you're too annoyed to continue.

Cotto was a beaten man. He was as good as KO'd. There is no way you would stay on your feet if that was you. You have no right to say he should be ridiculed for the rest of his life because you've never been in Cotto's situation.

It's easy to degrade somebody when your sitting behind a computer screen.
