Of all the people in boxing today whom I'd compare to Henry Armstrong, Paul Williams would be the last guy I'd pick.

also, i didn't realize that PW still "fights at 147". i must have missed that fight
Williams has said repeatedly that he is willing to fight at 147. The only reason that he moved up was because none of the guys would fight him..PW begged Shane for a fight.

I understand the whole "fighting in multiple weight divisions" thing, but seriously ; Henry Armstrong wouldn't get treated like a red headed step child by Carlos Quintana.

Lets not compare P-Will to armstrong. You just can not do it. I know what P-Will has done and try to do. However, Armstrong was fighting at Featherweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight? That is a difference of 21lbs. And, Armstrong fought the best in thos 3 division. And, then you have to remember that Armstrong went and fougth for the Middleweight title and got a draw when he should of gotten the decision. That you add his MW fight and that is 34lbs difference...

P-Will has done nothing close to that so far. I am still waiting for P-Will to fight agaisnt fighters who are willing to fight him like Clottey, Martinez, Dzinziruk, a rubber match with Quintana... Is not a diss to P-Will but you just can not compare...

willing to fight isn't the same as fighting. he doesn't fight at 147, like you and the article suggest

                  quintana wanted the rubber match

                  clottey wanted the fight

                  sergei wanted him

                  martinez wants him

paul williams last 3 opponents put together are about 115 years old. that's pathetic

manny pacquiao is the real modern-day henry armstrong, not some skinny tall guy like paul williams who uses his height to move up in weights.

armstrong actually fought people at their weight classes, not at catch weights

no one is a modern day armstrong
