Does it take a defensive genius to beat a defensive god

Or does it take someone you wouldn't expect to beat someone like Mayweather like Katsidis who will never get the opportunity most likely to share the ring with him. The funny thing about this sport is that sometimes its the most unlikely fighter that wins the fight. Douglas with his upset over Tyson, Darchinyan outboxing Mijares and stopping him.

No it doesn't need to be and it most likely would be someone not highly regarded to beat Floyd

I tend to think an offensive genius could trump Floyd's defense maybe. It would either be about overwhelming key points of his defensive structure...or... trying to find the right combination (like a vault) of moves to unlock his style and do damage...

But then, one thing that should be considered..is if Floyd feels truly threatened, and like his defense isn't working, or is figured out...he will unleash a very underrated offensive arsenal himself.

He's just rarely challenged enough to do so.

A fighter that is good at all facets will beat one that is only great at one thing. And of course an offensive genius can and probably will beat a defensive one.

I think the same thing, but I think it's too bad he wont fight anyone.

No, I meant what I typed. I do sometimes feel a defensive fighter who fights like a chess-player can beat Floyd. I just haven't seen it from smaller fighters, the bhop kind of style could bother floyd.

The only thing unbeatable about Floyd are his lack of quality oppositions.
It doesn't take much punches to beat Floyd just someone strong enough to hurt him.
