Tua vs Ahunanya in The Works For December 12

According to TVZN, heavyweight David Tua may face Friday Ahunanya on December 12 in New Zealand. Ahunanya handed Shane Cameron the first defeat of his career in 2007. In a bloody war, Ahunanya stopped Cameron in the twelfth round and then won a decision over undefeated Alonzo Butler (26-0) last year. Tua hammered Cameron a few weeks ago in what was billed as the biggest fight in New Zealand history. [details]

What's Friday's full name? Anyone know Friday's full name?

On another note, I didn't know Friday was still fighting.

Tua is indeed serious in making a comeback. Hope he stays busy to get a crack at it.

If he were dead serious, he would have taken less money to fight against Arreola on the Paul Williams undercard for HBO.

WTF? It's true? He should really get a good manager. That could be his ticket back to contention.

Tua is contracted to Fight on Maori TV for 2 fights, no way could they afford to pay HBO for outsourcing rights

I dont think he is the one choosing those opponents, its just that he is gonna get really avoided by the top guys of the division he is too dangerous and offers too little in return.

A top HW will only take the chance if tua becomes a big atraction again....

Before anyone says it, No i don think tua would be the man of the division, but i do think he is dangerous for anyone in the division

He would probably make more money fighting Friday in NZ than he would fighting Arreola, but it's still a big opportunity wasted.

The info I've seen says that all HBO can do is give six figure purses to each, since it's the end of the year and their budget is tight, but both fighters want at least high six figures.

Does HBO televise in New Zealand? If they don't how could the arrangements not be made?
