Clearly, people are buying Floyd's fights. There must be a reason for that.

I'm sure that you don't think the Camry is the most exciting car out there...but people buy them in droves.
Could be that he is American, a loud mouth, and regarded as p4p the best boxer on the planet.

What does this have to do with 24/7?

Then, please explain why Hopkins didn't sell.... Or Toney?

Surely, they had fit all three criteria at certain points in their careers. Right?

      Thank you in advance.

Al Haymon discusses a topic, and some posters react predictably:

          Ur welcome.....

Toney and Hopkins werent p4p no.1 boxers for years. It was all Jones. Toney was never a big name fighting big names. Hopkins fought no names for the majority of his career, and i know for a fact he was unknown in the UK during his long reign.

Floyd is a multi weight fighter, who was much more well known before 24/7 came along.
He also was on that dancing programme, and hangs around with 50 Cent.
He was being compared to Leonard.
          He is undefeated.
His fight with Oscar was huge without 24/7.
Hattons fight with Floyd was huge for Floyds popularity.

U think Floyd sells because of 24/7??

I think Floyd sells because of what is bolded above.
The Dancing with Stars, the AT&T commercial, the multiple WWE appearances, the MTV appearances, etc.

He has made a conscious effort to increase his mainstream visibility by appearing on many, many non-boxing shows. That is why I thought (in all due respect) that the previous three criteria you offered were very incomplete.

But let's get off FMJ. He isn't relevant to this thread. And he gets enough pub on NSB.

Do you feel that 24/7 is an important show for boxing...and do you think that am 'exciting" 24/7 helps the sport overall.

Who cares about the 24/7. I bet the fight will be exciting.

Boxing fans will tune in to the fight. They dont need to drink piss and act like a fake gansta to sell this fight.

Some of you guys on here are just like broads.

                  Of course.

I understand anything that helps promote a fight and the sport is a good thing.

But i feel the fight cant be more hyped than it already is. Yet u have to be a boxing fan to know why it is potentially so exciting. By knowing their styles and previous fights etc.

I dont think the 24/7, a programme about the pre fight preparation, can really do justice to the history of this fight.

24/7 needs big personalities to capture the non boxing fans imagination. Like Floyd and Hatton s show. Boxing fasn shouldnt be suprised at the lack of personality these two fighters have.

So i dont understand why boxing fans are complaining, or what they thought the first episode should have included.

And how do you propose to stop it?

Seems like you will just have to cope with it, huh?
