sanctioning bodies is what created weight classes. i see no problem with ortiz-diaz being at a catch weight if its not for a title. a weight is a weight, you either fight at it or you dont. mayweather-marquez was no catch weight fight despite what you heard.

Diaz will get drain out coming down to 140. Diaz hasn't foughten at 140 for years and the guy isn't getting any younger. Ortiz will be mentally focus and ready to knock this son of a ***** on the ground.

Not only is Ortiz getting an undeserved slot on HBO. He is matched with for an opponent who will never go onto do anything meaningful. And the fact that Diaz is viewed as a live challenge to Ortiz goes to show how sorry of a fighter Ortiz is. HBO has had some garbage fights this year because of HBO's monopoly on HBO. Even though the Maidana-Ortiz fight was a slug fest, it doesn't change the fact that Ortiz does not have to go to the back of the line like a lot of fighters who lose do.
