One person already started talking about a "faded" hernandez but in reality he was undefeated at that weight in particular, and was a seasoned champ at that point. Mayweather was basically thought of as being rushed into that fight and it could potentially ruin him because many thought he wasnt ready.

it wasnt just the fact that he won but the way he won. Mayweather basically started taking all comers with just 2 years under his belt.

Think about the most recent pros we have had, or the ones at the top now, how many of them can say within 2-3 years within starting their careers, they have had a legit title run in dominant fashion?

thats why mayweather was ranked number 2 at that time because his run was amazing considering how young he was.

Anyone who wasnt taking the sport serious at that time isnt going to know about all that because he didint get the attention at that time
      .

Am actually amaze and begin to doubt how many people actually follow boxing, It seems people only started following boxing in 2006 while jumping on a bandwagon.

A lot of posters here are just haters, they don't really know why they hate a fighter they just do it.

Stew, you're not shocked are you? I thought I'd be a newbie when I joined these boards since I'm still somewhat young but apparently not. I guarantee 90% of posters here began watching the sport after 2000.

He was faded because he lost to FMJ.
Just like Hatton, who before the fight had the best chance to beat floyd, was a blown up light welter after Floyd beat him.
Corrales was going to blow Floyd out of the water, but he was weight drained after the fight.

I'm not afraid to admit I didn't start following the sport religiously until 2004...

But there are plenty of good posters who haven't started watching boxing unitl 2000 or later...

I've seen nuthuggers and ****** people over the age of 25 on here...

Remarkable that 10 years later 3 of the names are still on the list.

Ganero Hernandez being faded is as lame of an excuse as Corrales being weight drained.

What really crystallized it for me was the thread that asked about the greatest referee of ALL TIME.

Guys were posting Weeks, Cortez, Smoger, etc.

                      SERIOUSLY.
