what makes the best?

I have done some research on this in my spare time and I see Nike, Puma and Adidas are regarded as the 3 best sneaker brands in the world. I thought Jordan's would be at least top 10 but it rarely makes top 10 in the lists I have seen. I guess Jordan's are mostly used in urban America only.

I can't lie, I would buy Nike Air Max's over Jordan's any day.

what criteria are you using to judge "best"? are you looking for performance, comfort, durability? just wondering what goes into calling a brand the best

and what "research" have you done?

as I've experienced good success with all 3 of the bolded brands, however it is all very subjective since Nike for example has a more narrow fit

and regarding the Air Max model .. while comfortable I've noticed the air bubble giving out after a while.

**been mostly a Nike head, and own 4-5 pairs at the moment .. last one I bought was Air Max 97 .. but trying to check out the other brands right now

as for Jordan I have a pair of Retro XII's and find them very comfy but have heard via niketalk that the quality of the brand has gone down.
