That is true there is no set criteria for a P4P list, it all depends on the eye of the beholder.

Floyd has made a lot of guys in a lot of weight classes look bad in the ring with him. Do you really doubt him that much?

You came into this thread and started bitching, when no one forced you to open up the thread. If you wanted to have a look at my "imaginary" rankings and critisize them then fine and if you don't then don't. If I want to have "imaginary" rankings I will wether you care about them or not.

I really believe that he can beat either Mosley or Pacquiao, but that doesn't account for nothing until I have seen it.

You can have them but hardly defend them with absolute certainty and no one could really say you were wrong either.....so whats the point? My issue is that they are taken into consideration with seriousness. So serious in fact that Pac is favored to beat Cotto on the basis that he is currently in the lead and captain now of an imaginary ranking.

Not saying that but Floyd has proven quite a bit in his career as it is, right now in his comeback he has not done a lot but his whole career is pretty much on point which is why he is ranked so highly.

He has a grand reputation and a lot of talent so that equates highly to a lot of experts.

I really do not question that Floyd is one of the two best fighters in the world currently, he has earned that spot.

Thats why its so fun, different people = different opinions, we get to level things out and discuss about the sport and certain fighters, something other sports like baseball and intl soccer cant do because theyve got their rankings set up. We get to argue about it and you get different views on what should happen. Only thing Im saying is it brings a good debate on the subject, they're not really for anyone to take to heart.

Well in that case of looking at it as reputation then he gets stomped by Mosley and Hopkins again, both have a stronger legacy, albeit by a little bit. So still in terms of reputations the old guys take Floyd to school, if Mayweather was unbeaten and he had beaten the likes of Margarito and Cotto when he should have then yeah I couldnt argue with you. So we'll just have to wait and see if Floyd can do just that it and put the monye where his mouth is.

Yes your are right, I am guilty of making fantasy threads all of the time.I just think we just have problem when the rankings are treated like the 10 commandments in boxing and dictate real life odds and other decisions in boxing.

Well yeah, but it gives us something to talk about. imagine no lists, no belts no nothing, guys just fighting each other just for the fun it, it wouldnt be so fun. In my way I look at it as sort of defending my sport and arguien about the top dogs and who belongs there.
