I'd say Abraham is more defensive but Rocky's defense was solid for as aggressive a fighter as he was. His attacking crouch was truly unorthodox and I don't see any fighter using it today.

They were actually closer to the same size than Marciano was to modern HWs.....I don't know if we can say close enough as to where we could speculate about fantasy match ups but maybe.....depends at what AA is walking around at.

Marciano wasn't a big heavyweight, but he did walk around at 200+ lbs. Rocky today could be a light heavyweight/cruiserweight but I doubt he could ever go down to middleweight like Abraham was able to. He trained like an animal to fight at 180-190...

I see a similarity in that AA looks like he's the same age as Rocky Marciano.

We are in a boxing forum I am using the term in a relative sense in relation to every top fighter in the world.

I know Marciano's defense is a bit underrated these days. What I meant was, since his punch output was so much greater than AA's, that there wasn't as much of a need for d.

Holy %$#@, I just realized AA is still in his 20's. Damn, he's aged.

                      Agreed.

If you think Arthur looks old, take a look at his younger brother:
