Nope! Let Marg beat a top fighter and then we can talk rematch. Why should we reward him with a huge fight right away. Especially after he was suspended for what most people would consider giving the fighter an extra advantage. We don't award cheats, let the guy prove he is a legit fighter.

well, i dont think Margarito is in any position to command any kind of payday...that's why its a catch 22 when fight fans say he has to 'earn' it...i mean what if he does 'earn' it and goes on a 4 fight winning streak...then what? now you gave the mother****er a lil leverage to negotiate

Lol at unthinkable. An 80-20 split will still make him millions of dollars and that's what Cotto doesn't want. The only way he would land a fight with Cotto is, if he made next to nothing. So forget about splits Cotto will not fight him if he gets a big payday, Plasterito will have to take peanuts if he wants this fight to happen.
