This is true. If he wins I rather see a mosley rematch, but if he loses (which I think he will) there really are no options outside of Vargarito.

well, i dont think Margarito is in any position to command any kind of payday...that's why its a catch 22 when fight fans say he has to 'earn' it...i mean what if he does 'earn' it and goes on a 4 fight winning streak...then what? now you gave the mother****er a lil leverage to negotiate


let's just say the unthinkable happens and cotto survives pacquiao, cotto can call out margarito and like someone said earlier, tell margarito to fight at MSG and take a 80-20 split...he would have no choice...the fight can be made

But I wouldn't want that. If he beats Pac why not say, "I want Mayweather or Mosley for the lineal title at WW." The Margarito has little significance outside of vengeance...and to the general public he doesn't even need that cause everyone views that fight with a cloud of controversy, whether they should or not.

I honestly think that fight would be in LV again, just a lot more money to be made there, and Arum wont pass 10 million extra to fight in NY when there really is no point anyways. The better fighter will win as long as its fair to both.

I'd rather Margarito be banned for life so I'd rather just see him leave the sport all together. I don't think he can beat a top opponent cleanly, so I may get my wish.
