I haven't seen too much of either fighter, so I'd like to hear the opinion of someone who actually knows these fighters quite well...

Kessler has much more experience; and power too!
So in my opinion: Kessler by UD or late KO.

Under normal circumstances Kessler KO's Ward. It doesn't appear as if Kessler takes the task serious which perhaps is understandable given the poor resumé of Ward, and that might be a mistake that he'll have to pay for.

Kessler gives ward a thorough beating on way to a stoppage around the mid-rounds.

It'll be close over thr first half, but Kessler will begin timing Wàrd and catching him.
Kessler by decision or late stoppage.
As Bat said though, if Kessler isn't taking this fight seriously, he's in for a surprise.

I think Ward presents one of the hardest matches for Kessler in this tournament. I expect a really nervewrecking match.
