The willingness to avenge a defeat is what separates Paul Williams from Miguel Cotto.

Because it is the same thing that Miguel Cotto is doing with him. Only like mentioned earlier, Margarito was somewhat competitive in that fight and didn't get wiped out when it got down to the end. Margarito will probably fight a rematch with Mosley before Cotto ever does.

What seperates Miguel Cotto and Paul Williams is two things -

1.One had the balls to fight Joshua Clottey and the other didn't.
2.Carlos Quintana - One beat the ever loving crap out of Quintana, and the other got exposed for the fraud that he was against Quintana.

Remember, Paul was a WW at the time and Margarito was being called the best WW after defeating Cotto.

Rematching a guy who brutally KOd you isn't exactly the same as rematching a guy who outpointed you in a semi-close fight. Just saying.
I also find it hilarious that these guys that are always on Cotto's nuts claim that Williams needs to give Quintana a rubber match when Cotto isn't even willing to give somebody a rematch who made him quit and they want Cotto to stay away from Margrarito. LMAO.
june 10,2009 was cotto/margarito 2 that sounds like a rematch 2 me.

The difference between the Quintana-Williams fight and the Margarito-Cotto fight is that Quintana was the one running in the last round because Williams had his style figured out. Margarito had Cotto's style figured out, and that's why Cotto was on the run in the last rounds. Not that he wasn't on the run at all times in the fight anyway. If it's true that Paul got lucky against Quintana, then why did Williams knock him out with a barrage of punches in the rematch and not a lucky punch like you guys claim that he did?
Margarito couldn't figure **** out, he did the same **** for 11 rounds. Cotto ran out of gas and got hit with bricks. And Only a rematch between Paul and Quintana would tell if it was luck but i give the edge to Williams

wasn't the rematch ALREADY planned.....then Marg got busted......grits hit the fan and now his name is tarnished.....Marg NEEDS the rematch more than Cotto.....Marg needs to prove he beat Cotto fairly the first time out because MOST of the boxing world THINKS he cheated against Cotto!!.....Marg NEEDS this fight more than Cotto IMO......and if Cotto feels as though the man is not worthy to share the ring with him for ATTEMPTING to use illegal wraps that could've KILLED a fellow fighter.....it's totally understandable!!....I salute the dude!!
