Boxer/puncher SMW Allan Green in my view has potentially enough talent to beat any fighter in the world at 168. I know he was derailed by Miranda in a fight he lost and was nearly stopped in a lousy performance which was due mostly to Green's health problems at the time. After that loss he has come back to win every fight but has not really taken off for some reason. I don't know what to attribute that to, is it his fault, his managements, is he avoided avoided?
I know Green doesn't have many fans on this site and I am one of a few but am very put off by his lack of interest in a rematch with Miranda on Showtime. He has complained about not getting the rematch for a long time and here is his chance. I don't see why he wouldn't want to take it, it is what is holding him back because the 1st fight is always referred to when Green is mentioned. What ever his issue he needs to solve it quick because at 30 he is not getting younger and is wasting time at the perpetual contender level of the SMW division. He should just take the Miranda fight, prove to everyone what a fluke that loss was and if they fought a best of 10, 9 times out of 10 Miranda would take a nap. I kind of think of Green as the Clottey of the SMW division, a elite level fighter who does not get big fights for whatever reason. I will say this I can think of no SMW who I can say Green couldn't beat him because of ETC. He has some technical flaws but good overall skill, good speed, great 1 punch ko power, but does have a shaky chin.....Any thought/opinions on Allan Green?
