If you were Cotto would you pay the extra two million and come in at 147?

Cotto will make 145 no problem. But this catchweight doesn't bold well for Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Good point. Though if Manny blasts through Cotto like alot of people think then that fight should be at 147.

145 would be a problem and people saying it wouldnt be dont really understand the way it all works. A cotto at 147 is healthier and better mentally than a cotto at 145.

This is what I'm trying to say. Everyone says 145 isn't a big deal and Cotto said it's not and that's fine, but he won't be the first guy to say the weight won't be a problem when it actually is (which that's his problem so it's on him). I know he came in at 146, but I heard he fasts the day before weigh-in. If he does everything physically possible to make 146, what more does he have to do to make 145? Just alot harder to do than people think IMO (To lose one pound when you're at your physical limit). I agree with your post.

No, if I was Cotto I would just pay 1million and only come in 1 pound over the contracted weight.

In the wise words of king Arthur Abraham...

"What is money??? big house is nothing. car is nothing. But the name......name is everything"

A win for Miguel Cotto over Manny Pacquiao immortalizes him long after he's spent every penny of that 2mil....and long after he's gone.
