Judah to me is a better challenge to Mayweather as oppose to Clottey. I've been saying this for a very long time now, Mayweather would easily U.D Clottey.

He probably would, but as long as Floyd doesn't fight anybody, a Clottey fight is just one fight in a long line of fantasy fights that Floyd has won.

no matter how you flip it..floyd beat the linear champ and former linear champ back to back

cotto has yet to beat any current champ...
Well 1st off, we know Shane isn't using a walker to get to the ring and has a KO in 4 of his last 5 fights. Clottey isn't proven? He fought Margarito and Cotto both and gave each a hell of a fight and is a former belt holder.

The WW division right now is much more stacked than when Floyd won those title in. Margarito was always looming, but many knew that fight wasn't going to happen. But since Floyd retired, Cotto's fought Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Judah, and Quintana. Floyd hasn't fought 4 of those 5 guys and each is a reigning or former World Champion.

Call it Floyd being at the right place at the wrong time.

                  Cotto's resume> Mayweather's resume.

                    No way bro...

Judah is fast, but he doesn't got it upstairs and he just stops fighting at some point in the fight. Clottey also isn't the brightest person either, but what he has that Judah doesn't is a pressure style with a bigger frame and always keeps his hands up, plus he knows how to punch. He's a bad style match up for anyone in the division. People just assume Floyd would have a virtuoso performance against any WW, but nobody really knows because he hasn't faced this crop of WWs yet (Berto, Clottey, Cotto, Mosley). Its easy to say Floyd beats them all, but nobody knows how each fight would break down. Neither of them would be a Marquez'esque performance from Floyd.

floyd's had half the fights at 147 cotto has. unfair comparison.

sharmba mitchell is a lot better than the gomez , urkal and jennings of the world i'll tell you that.

floyd fought the lineal champ at 147 for his belt and won it.

who was the last guy cotto beat for his belt?

judah was a top 5-10 welter when floyd fought him and he beat him before cotto did.

can't knock him for fighting hatton either. fighting the #1 guy at 140 (who also won a paper belt at 147) is not really that bad for a 147 champ.

floyd's resume above 135 is not that great but it's still good. people just exagerrate how bad it is. people clown on him for fighting baldomir but he had to. baldomir (whether he deserved it or not) was the man at 147.
