He still fought at 147, after supposedly "running away". Big money or not. And seriously..Hatton isn't the type to run. Run forward into a fist maybe..but run away? Lmao please.

As for the rest, it becomes an exercise of "what if".. Hatton's resume at WW was cut short by Floyd.

But he was a worthy opponent, and beat fighters like Tsyu, Collazo , Urango, Castillo

LMAO @ beating a shot Castillo. Hatton didn't deserve a shot over any of the top welters, but it was a big money fight. That's why it was made. Bottom line.

Castillo was hardly shot when Ricky fought him. Castillo's last loss before Ricky was to Corralles.. A loss that he avenged.

He "all of a sudden" became shot when Ricky beat him, because that's how these things tend to work in the average detractors mind....

But before, and leading up to, the fight? nah.

And I think Ricky was stating a case in beating Castillo.. for the Mayweather fight. Because Castillo gave Mayweather some fits, and Hatton beat Castillo better than Mayweather did.

Seeing a pattern here? Pac and May are doing the same thing to each other. Thats why its almost a 100% lock in that they will fight in 2010

Anyone who saw Castillo's previous two bouts prior to Hatton knew he was shot. Then to move up to 140 on top of that? GTFOH. You're the one who bought the hype, not me.

He struggled a bit with a SD and ect, true..But nothing had proved he was shot yet. If he had moved on to defeat ricky, you wouldn't be singing the same tune. But since Ricky beat him, he's shot. Ok. Agree to disagree.

Besides, in all this fixation on Castillo, you are conveniently glossing passed Urango, Collazo, and Kosta Tyzsu

Oh, I didn't buy too much into it. I thought it would be an entertaining fight, and it was to me, but my Money was on Mayweather. I thought Ricky did ok as anyone could do against PBF, really..he wobbled Mayweather early in the fight.. Tried to keep the pressure up. He did ok.

First of all, struggling is an understatement. Against Rolando Reyes, his former SPARRING PARTNER, he was getting beat up so much he had to BOX. Can you imagine that? Castillo not being able to stand the heat and being forced to box against a sparring partner?

Second, I didn't gloss over anything. Urango? This impresses you? Lord have mercy.

at the time Floyd fought them, ZAB and Baldomir were the figths to be made. Clottey, margarito, Quintana, etc were nothing. All but 1 of them still isn't really nothing.

Larry X put it best. Former lineal and lineal champ is way more important!
