Can't remember the name of the thread but Horus searched history and most over here won't believe what he found. For example, Mayweather ducking Vivian Harris, Gatti/ Zab Judah were gonna knock Mayweather out. Mayweather needs to face Baldomir and Hatton, Mayweather wasn't ready for ODLH. Now look at Mayweather today

That's why I don't take these threads serious. You people have this mythical belief that Mayweather has to face Shane, Cotto or Pacquiao to earn respect, WRONG. History will repeat itself, the possible wins will only be discredited and Mayweather will be ducking a new bunch.

Margarito and Quintana ain't nobody. SSM is cool and clottey is cool, but they weren't no Hatton Or Oscar.

Floyd's work at 147 in a sense is greater than Cotto's. He beat the former undisputed champ of WW in Judah when he was the guy and sharp. He then turned around and beat the linear champ of the division in Baldomir making himself the guy of the division.

When has Cotto ever been the guy? When has Cotto ever beat the guy for his belt? How u gon lose to a 1-dimensional bum like margarito, bricks or no bricks, a msater box would have never allowed him to hit him.

So Floyd's work at WW really trumps everybody else work at WW in the grand scheme of things and Cotto is a close second wit setbacks!

It's revisionist history. U can't whiteout these published articles and threads so they just try and forget them and act like they never said what they said. 1 guy said in those threads, "Imagine how great Floyd would be if he fought hatton, Oscar, and Cotto and won." Well 2 down and three to go!

the problem with your type of fan is that you find an excuse to discredit who you proclaimed was the guy he should beat, just to create this illusion that floyd ain't fighting nobody and he ain't what he says he is!

based off of what? What makes Quintana so good....who he beat? Williams who was young and inxeperienced. Clottey is a decent fighter, but margarito ain't nobody. Don't mention his name no more....he's nothing.

I'm not denying that floyd's career overall is better than cottos, but at WW cotto's resume is better than floyd's.

Floyd shouldn't / can't get credit for beating guys that he hasn't yet gotten in the ring yet. do I think floyd would win? yes. but he still doesn't get credit for beating harris, tszyu, freitas, casamayor, etc... until he actually steps in the ring with them, just liek floyd can't get credit for beating cotto/mosley/pac until he actually fights them.

floyd would have gotten more respect if he actually fought tszyu, cotto, hatton, harris at jr WW. I know there was a lot of problems along the way, but still... a victory on paper is not a victory in the ring.
