Sure, I have checked out tons of music sites, I have several favorite drummers, Neil Pert, Tommy Aldridge, (who married my high school prom queen) Tommy Lee, B.B. Borden, Steve Smith, Buddy Rich, the list goes on and on...Last edited by Soundtraveler; 03-25-2005, 07:48 AM. -
Cool. Buddy Rich is my all time favorite drummer. He was one of my heroes when I was a kid. He ranked right up there with Jack Dempsey, John Wayne, Rocky Marciano, and Humphrey Bogart.Originally posted by SoundtravelerSure, I have checked out tons of music sites, I have several favorite drummers, Neil Pert, Tommy Aldridge, (who married my high school prom queen) Tommy Lee, B.B. I doubt Gatti going to do anything, Mayweather is just TOO DAMN GOOD FOR GATTI. Oh by the way I am not just saying that because I am a FMJR. fan I am saying that cause I believe it.Originally posted by rizfrom *********.com
Regarding Mayweather's extraordinary speed Gatti said that "people slow down when they get punched." Gatti, one of the gutsiest boxers of modern times, also questioned Mayweather's courage. "I don't know if he has heart, but if he does I'm going to shrink it." Both Mayweather his uncle/trainer Roger and his father Floyd Sr. (Oscar De La Hoya's trainer) have all been known to trash-talk their opponents. In a way, trash-talking seems to run in the family. "It also runs in the family that they have glass jaws," retorted Gatti.
tht last sentence made me laff hard, gatti i think now has a big chance of beating mayweather. i was thinkin mayweather on a shutout, but now i think i might actually pick gatti. we've never seen mayweather in a war, if we c him in a war now, who will winComment

lol
Anyone who thinks Gatti is going to try to outbox Mayweather is fooling themselves. Gatti wants this to be a war because he has all the advantages one needs to win a war. The question is will he be successful in making it a war.
Don't be an ass and try to tell intelligent people on this board that Gatti's style is permanently changed and he will never go to war again...especially when it's his best chance of winning...bull****.Comment

Gatti will be Floyd's proverbial punching bag. I feel sorry for him. Floyd will put on a boxing clinic like no other. For those who think Floyd will trade with Gatti are foolish. You see, Floyd is very selective about who he trade punches with. He knows his best advantage is to box and move if his opponent is a power puncher. Just look at the Corrales fight. That's the beauty of boxing, you adjust your style to your advantage. Floyd wins by stoppage due to cuts or Gatti's corner throws in the towel.Comment

As Much As We All Want This To Become A War, Its Not Going To Happen, Floyd Wont Allow It, He Is Just Going To Give Gatti A Boxing Lesson, And Will Win A 12rd Ud,Comment

This is why Gatti has a chance:
Mayweather has Brittle Hands.
Mayweather does very well with avoiding head shots, but Gatti has been real effective to the body. Watch Gatti pound the Body.
Gatti is willing to throw punches with Mayweather(Thowing punches at the same time), which is the only way to really hit Mayweather to the Head with a clean shot.
If Gatti can avoid cuts, and dig to the body in the first 5 rounds, Gatti has a hell of a chance.Comment

DLT do you honestly think that PBF hits harder than gatti, HELL NO MAN!!!, do you think that PBF hits harder than Micky Ward HELL NO MAN!!! and gatti was taking his best punches, when you go toe to toe your open for flush punches and i dont think that floyd has the chin for gatti's punches. Gatti can go thru a hail storm of ounches and not go down, watch the 9th round of ward-gatti 1, then you'll know what im talking about.Last edited by USA4LIFE; 03-26-2005, 10:58 PM.Comment
