Pavlik is very lucky he didn't face Abraham.

If you watch Pavlik fight, he is really good at batting the gloves away of his opponent with his left hand while delivering a right hand behind it.

He did it to Miranda and Zertuche when they both became wary of his attack and put up a high guard. Pavlik is very good at what old timers call "Threading the needle"

Pavlik also is one guy out there who really has beat down tough guys with granite chins. He simply beats guys up. Finesse can beat Pavlik, but he can be a total nightmare to the tough guys who don;t have incredible footwork. he simply beats them down.

I personally think Pavlik would hand Abraham his ass. Abraham still has much to prove and beating guys Pavlik already Damaged proves nothing to me.

I disagree. Abes guard is natural unlike that of Miranda. Also, Abraha has good footwork when he wants to use it.

he does not have good footwork. He is either in attack or retreat mode. His footwork is not there to give him angles, but to either attack or keep him out of harms way.

His entire reputation is being built on guys who have so far already been dented. Pavlik is the guy who dented them.

Pavlik is looked upon as a bum in here and Abraham is being lubed up as some early ATG candidate. It's simply foolish.

Until Abraham shows me more, I just see him as a very tough fighter who likes to take breaks. I also say Dirrell will beat him also.

I still think Abraham would win, but it would be a tough fight.

I know Mang, tell me about it. He has done jack since he won the belt- 1 defense against Taylor, a loss to BHOP at 168, and a tune up against Rubio, then bar brawls and staff infections. I loved watching him fight and his rise to stardom but he has wasted his spotlight if you ask me.

based on the Taylor fight? It took Abraham 12 rounds to knock him out

The thing is, AA fights the same way in every fight. He blocks non-stop for 4 or 5 rds and then begins to open up and the same thing happens every time- the other guy buckles under his power and can't land enough to hurt him big (except Miranda 1). He has some magic to his weird style and he hits harder than almost anyone I've ever seen at his weight.

He does hit very hard with both hands. The thing is though he does not punch when being punched. Guys like Williams and Pavlik would not only outwork him, but Pavlik even has the ability to sting guys by punching them on their gloves due to having more heavy hands than knockout hands.

Good management has gotten Abraham where he is, and even then I watched guys like Lagun Simon, not only be competitive with him, but rock him up good.
