Mirko was ahead of his time as far as mma striking goes, pre 2004.
If Mirko had half the heart Gatti or someone else has, he'd be remembered as one of the greatest of all time.

Mirko would have gotten further in his MMA career had actually fought more with two hands rather than being a one-sided puncher/kicker. It's just saddens me how much his skills diminished over the years. Josh Barnett was the last fight I saw Mirko using both hands effectively.
