Give Tyson a Break: Why Fury is still a Sizzling Prospect

Since his recent fight against John McDermott, heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury, who is only 21-years-old, has been vociferously criticised, and many have simply given up hope on him as a hot prospect. This seems unfair for a multitude of reasons. [details]

My word, what a ridiculous article. Comparing Tyson to Liston and Bugner, what a moron.

He is still a prospect, but the issue was not him, it was the media hype he was getting. I mean even this article is an example of a green prospect getting too much attention.

He was getting even general statements published on here. He was so hyped that I guess some expected him to be ready for the wolves.

Let the kid learn at his pace. Make him work for that attention. He simply is getting too much of it early on and it has to be a distraction for him.

I think Tyson Fury just underestimated Mcdermott and Mcdermott was really up for it! If they fight again Tyson Will win more comfortably IMO.

            He's alright.

            I like him.

And he's bound to improve. No point in fighting above the McDermott's at this point.

              LOL.
Fury is far from a "sizzling" prospect.
              Thanks for the article, though.
              I needed a laugh.

What annoys me is that he gets all this attention because of his name, he has no skill to back it up. There's plenty of good fighters out there ho get zero press attention because the have names like Jamie Moore or Jon Murray. It's a joke.

Yes, he may be a good fighter in the future, but I've not seen anything to say that he will so far, he could end up being a shower of ****. To be honest I think he should focus on fighting at his own level and stop worrying about world titles, because with the titleholders at the moment, it's never gonna happen.

I've got to agree with the author, Fury will be the next undisputed heavyweight champion. I reckon he'll be a notable Top 10 ATG heavyweight after his career is over. /sarcasm
