Likely take Fabio many months to heal. Wouldn’t expect it next.

That sustained brutal beating he had could serve some long-term damage to Wardley that he may never fully revover from. That was brain damage material there tonight.

A truly great fight. Should be a betting line that this ends up being the Fight of the Year! I dont see anything on the horizon that could top this fight at all. Might have to go back to Holyfield vs Dokes to see something like this in the last 30 years. It was a spectacle of heart, will, and determination in there.

            Makes me think of Rocky,
"Ain't gonna be no rematch, Ain't gonna be no rematch"
            "Don't want one"

The fight should have been stopped 3 rounds earlier. A very bad work of corner, ring doctor and a referee.

He's a smart bloke but he's also got a lot of pride - his team needs to tell him not to take this rematch. If he takes anywhere near the same beating as he did in this fight he really will end up a vegetable.

Fabio must think twice before activating the clause. Better do it after at least two fights and a lot of physical and mental recovery time, no shame in that. Anthony "The Sausage" Joshua didn't dare, claiming Rematchroom didn't ask for such a clause in the contract.

When the ropes are the only thing preventing you from falling, you can be considered down, even out if you are in defensive mode, not throwing any punches and shaken, which all happened with Wardley several times past round 6. So yeah, the stoppage should have come earlier, and I was expecting it in rounds 8 or 9.

That sounds like a proper heavyweight war.

Daniel Dubois getting the stoppage over Fabio Wardley in round 11 at Co-op Live definitely makes a statement, especially in a fight that went deep and had that “anything can happen” tension right up to the later rounds.

When you’ve got a finish that late in a bout like that, talk of a rematch is pretty normal—especially if Wardley was still competitive in stretches before the stoppage. Promoters usually see that kind of matchup as something they can easily run back, particularly with an 18,000-strong crowd and clear fan interest.

If a second fight does happen, it’ll probably come down to adjustments—whether Wardley can manage the pace better late on, or Dubois can repeat that finishing strength earlier without letting it go so deep again.
