Usyk vs Dubois 3

Why are people still debating the first fight like it matters? Dubois was thoroughly outclassed in both fights and then KOed.
No one wants to see a 3rd fight, probably not even Dubois. He just captured the second piece of the heavyweight title that Usyk relinquished, after immediately losing the first, why would he rush into losing this title again?
If I’m Dubois or his promoter, I line up some decent competition for the next 2-3 fights like a Joe Joyce rematch and sell it as a revenge thriller or a Parker/Okolie fight, and then look to capitalize big in England with a Fury or Itauma fight for big money.👍 1Comment

Don't get me wrong, this fight was highly entertaining.
But your post says Usyk X Dubois 3
Dubois with that sluggin no defense style has very little chance vs Usyk.
Wardley was like a big punching bag with heart. Neither of these guys have the skills to compete at an elite level.
And hardly anyone wants to see Usyk Dubois 3.Comment

I mean I suppose by defintion they are at an elite level. Dubois especially.

He is good. He has a good jab and good feet. No defence is also inaccurate. His balance when punching is pretty perfect. Usyk is superlative and Dubois as has been said by everyone suffers confidence issues when he doesn't find success.
Anyone not named Usyk he's gonna be competitive or beat a lot of these other heavies until new blood emerges.
He's beaten AJ, Miller, Hrgovic and now Wardley.
Would he beat Parker? I think so. Would he beat Zhang? Wilder? Okolie? Gassiev? AJ again? I think so. Would he beat Kabayel? I dunno. An old Fury? I dunno.
Would he beat Moses? I don't think so but even that's based on the eye test and a belief Dubois will freeze up and panic with the speed and be erratic
Carefully matched he could have a decent reign. He wont though because he's not an especially popular, engaging or charasmatic man.

Yea Dubois would prob beat most of the heavies now. Which is exactly my point, being that this is one of the weaker eras of heavyweight boxing. Being entertaining and highly skilled are 2 completely different things.

*btw AJ was pretty much shot when they fought. don't kid yourself.👍 1Comment

I'd disagree with you if you think Dubois is unskilled. He's a big strong boy yes but he has very good feet, a world class jab and he's always in a position to throw a shot which is gonna be heavy because his balance is so good.

DDDs biggest fan and Dad Stan Dubios:
"I wouldn't see the point in Daniel facing Usyk again, I would say to Daniel fight another British heavyweight or someone like Moses. He's not that clever with southpaws, he needs to face one or two others... so I wouldn't advise him to do it"
Enough of the nonsense.Last edited by M312; 05-11-2026, 11:16 AM.😂 1Comment

Is a third fight really necessary at this point? I get that Dubois has matured and his recent run has been solid, but the technical gap in the first two fights was fairly obvious.
That being said, we have to talk about the 'age factor.' Usyk is nearing 40, and his lateral movement isn't as crisp as it was back in 2023. If Dubois can actually commit to a disciplined body attack (without the 'low blow' controversy this time) and use his size to wear Usyk down, he might have a path to victory. But honestly, unless Usyk's tank is completely empty, his ring IQ usually solves the Dubois puzzle by the mid-rounds
