wardley was just wilder except the difference is wilder extended his career with easy fights for 3-4 years while wardley jumped into a fight against a legit guy
Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois - DAZN PPV

Aside from a world class 1-2 and chin and heart the rest of Wardley is tough man skill level. It's like he just went from white collar boxing and jumped into world level boxing. Dubois could easily be out boxed tonight as his punches looked slow and ponderous at times and is too squared up on defense. Wardley just had no clue how to take advantage of these flaws.👍 1Comment

You proved ydksab
Dubois has always had quick feet but he is a gambler as he normally uses them to attack but he was put down and forced to think defensively
Dubois was probably the slowest hes ever been tonight but he started getting speed when he found his groove
Hes always had a quick jab and straight right hand if you dont know that then youre dumb
Theres a reason hes at this level and lands absolute bombs on people and it aint because hes in quicksand
You said it so yourself: Dubois was slower tonight, and he seemed heavier than usual. He's also not defensively agile. Wardley has athleticism, and I'm well aware that it takes more than that to win. But did you see how many fxcking times Wardley missed his right hand? His offense was as basic and sloppy as ever. His only consistent offense tactics were a jab feint and a 1-2. He kept loading up on the right hand, further gassing himself out and throwing himself out of position. Dubois' poise won him the fight. Wardley's corner should've done him a favor and pulled him out earlier because he was getting his ass kicked.

He fought his heart out and left it in the ring. He also lost to someone more experienced, so I don't want to pile on him. After he takes time off to heal, he needs to sit down with his team and have a serious conversation about wtf went wrong. Other than the flash knockdowns, Dubois was working him over. He's stagnated under his current team; there were simply no improvements.

It's written in the stars he will be upgraded and since Warren controls both Dubois and Kabayel he will unify the titles at some point.Kabayel would be unwise to choose a Dubois fight too quickly. There's a good chance Usyk vacates after Rico match, and so Kabayel gets elevated. That puts an extra 0 on the end of his next fight purse. Once he has that WBC belt, the Dubois fight would become a champ vs champ contest, so it's a much bigger event.Comment

Wardly was landing shots and fighting back in exchanges you cant really ask for much more from a fighter to show that they can continue fighting.

I was merely pointing out the fact Dubois has good feet and i'd imagine if he was purely defensive much like he was after the knockdown that he has great feet for a heavyweight which is why he can land with such accuracy in most of his fights
Dubois says it himself hes a seek and destroy fighter.
Hes always had great feet its just he normally uses them to come forward.
he has good range to.

They had a game plan to throw that overhand right and he used it far too early into the fight

Ben Davidson seems to be able to find a good flaw and punch that his fighters can capitalise on the opposition but as i was watching the fight i think after the second knockdown Dubois adapted and rolled just under the punches which is what impressed me the most about last night
Dubois ring IQ needs more appreciation and Wardly needs less criticism
I expected Dubois jab to be the biggest factor last night as its so accurate and closes the range and it was
If he bamboozled Joshua with it then i knew it would be a problem for Wardly
It set everything up for him
Just shows how good Usyk really is..
Dubois quit vs Usyk because of not just the punishment but having little success thats what really took his heart last time outLast edited by Stuntman Mike; 05-10-2026, 05:28 AM.👍 1Comment
