Fat dave got rocked but still beat the brakes off Cuban dave very convincingly ,I get it doe, fighting Usyk would be whole different deal even if he getting older and out prime version. Benny is massive dude though and fully in his prime now evidently.

Anything is possible at this point, it was a smart money move to move up in weight and even smarter to step in the ring with Zurdo. And because of Zur he looks better and faster then ever so he is going to write his own ticket for the next few years. How about if Usyk drops back down in weight to Cruiser that would be fun more to talk about then the heavy that they are discussing right now.

How about Ukrainian clown fighting contenders from his own division, not kickboxers and blown up light heavyweights?

yes thats an interesting one, usyk dropping back to cruiser, i remember years ago he said he would when canelo was talking about him but the money for that was huge, usyk makes big cash every fight now, im not sure david will bring in an amount to make the effort worthwhile, i cant see that happening actually

Interesting thread lol.. let's see how many people contradict themselves. One standard for everyone or do move the goal post for some boxers.

But he is scheduled to fight a " Kicker " so with that thought in mind and how he Usyk has dropped some in the eye"s of fight fans as far as staying professional in his choices maybe it will look good to him to drop down a wght class ? What he did at heavy really was and is impressive up to this point, his first few fights at heavy did not show him as a world beater but he showed dif in time....................

it is the sign of the times nothing i can do about match making and hype jobs in boxing these days. Set him up to fight a few of the guys who are not being mentioned at HW i would check it out but again i got nothing to comment on that is not going to happen. KAB would be fun to watch, is that going to show up on a screen near me ? There is always a flurry after a fighter looks good during the following week it is just sport is all...................

alas i think usyk is on the way out, he probably wants the winner of fury AJ or something like that to finish off, i dont think hes going to do anything much else at this stage

Truer words have never been spoken.

I just came here to read the double standard comments and the usual toxic alerts from haters.

Clown huh? Oh you JakeTheboxer .... Usyk literally cleaned out the HW division AFTER coming up from CW. Usyk himself is a "blown up" CW and beat behemoths like AJ and Fury. Multiple times if I may add.
At 39 years old, many advise him to retire since he has nothing else to prove but he chooses to fight a kick boxer perhaps retire soon after but we don't know. But the great JakeTheBoxer with a great boxing resume and a rich history of boxing knowledge deems Usyk to be a "clown fighting blown up LHWs".

                      Incredible stuff to read.
