They will use anything and every excuse to avoid a fight with Jai now. Why? Not because they're afraid, but because of the timing, other obstacles, and they simply aren't ready to face a deadly calibre of opponent like Jai Opetaia - he's the boogeyman for a reason.

Moving back down to 175lb with other big fights makes more sense because the Bivol fight will also generate a tonne of revenue.

Same. I like to see Benavidez v Bivol and then fight Jai next in 1-2 years time. Not interested in Beterbiev III

With his cruiserweight debut set for May 2 in Las Vegas, David Benavidez has been discussing another challenge — one he admits cannot be taken on immediately.

Opetia didn't trouble Brandon Glanton and their fight went the distance. I don't think Glanton would make it past round 7 with Benavidez to be honest. I think Benavidez's subtle defence gets him through Opetia's best offence. I not be to sure if Opetia is able to weather Benavidez's best offence.

would be a great fight imo.

If David cleans out LHW and Jai cleans out Cruiser, I would love to see them fight.

I am more interested in David v Bivol at the moment.

Top Soviet Bivol 8-4 outboxes Phat Dave

Buff Guy Jai 7-5 beats Phat Dave in a bloody war

both have the agility to win but it'l get violent for Buff Guy Jai because he's hittable

What fight were you watching, numbed head? I can't remember what round it was, but did you not see the later rounds where he almost stopped Glanton?

Not every fight needs a stoppage - it varies on the toughness and durability of your opponent. Despite no stoppage, I thought he and his team came up with a very strategic game plan against a tough foe; they showed me there is more to it. It's about being smart and not going all out chasing the K.O like in his previous fights.

BBC Brandon a big mofo who used to be 280 pounds of American football muscle

Buff Guy Jai is a walking 207 which is smaller than Fat Dave’s 210

How do you know Benavidez walks around at 210? He came in at 196 on weigh-in with Ramirez. I thought that was a bit smoll'

prior to cruiser at 175 he said in passing that he walks around fit at 205

before facing Fat Gilbert he said in an interview that he was going to add 5 pounds of muscle

so 210 is a reasonable conclusion for his fit walking weight
