I don't think Junto has a chance. I think he lost to that unheralded Mexican guy in his last fight.

Yeah, I haven't seen enough to convince me that he has the same power at 122 that he had at 118. It's crazy Nakatani is all ranked at number 1 in the rankings by the WBA, WBC, and the WBO despite only having one fight at 122 where he didn't look very good. I knew the WBC was corrupt but I didn't expect this. They should have rewarded that Hernandez guy who lost to Nakatani with a fight on this card for putting up such a valiant effort against him. But it's basically exclusively Japanese card which means I only recognize a few names lol.

Naoya by mid to late round stoppage or decision. I don't think Nakatani has the tools to dethrone Inoue. That dude is too technically skilled.

If someone is going to beat Inoue it has to be from a higher weight class with Inoue moving up.

There’s definitely frustration in how quickly some sanctioning bodies slot fighters into top rankings after moving divisions, but in practice rankings aren’t strictly based on “how good they looked in one fight.” They weigh past resume, unbeaten status, and promotional backing heavily.

Nakatani moving up and landing high rankings reflects his dominance at lower weights more than his debut at 122. That said, boxing politics + promotional influence absolutely shape mandatories and cards, which is why it often feels inconsistent or “corrupt” from the outside.

I mean Junto has Junto beating Inoue... If you listened to any of his interviews this week, he sounds damn confident about it too. He doesn't see Inoue as nothing more than another human in front of him and he's not buying into the hype. I like that attitude, but we'll see. Over confidence or lack of respect can also cost him. I just hope they put up a good fight. Sucks I'll be drunken asleep while it takes place
