Comments Thread For: Osleys Iglesias: When being scary-good goes bad

Super middleweight titleholder Osleys Iglesias may not be the boogeyman, but more than six years into his career, boxing sure seems to be treating him like one.

earlier on in his career Osleys loved the 1-2-3

      now it's the 1-2-5

I think he's alright, he'll win a title or two but I don't see what the big hype is about.

Typical converted southpaw that has no real backhand & is rather uncoordinated - Terrible balance. Its like he has one leg a lot longer than the other?
A rather limited punch selection, a headhunter who throws everything at the same speed.
Same thing over and over with him. Jab, a lazy left hand he gets no extension on followed by a **** ugly uppercut.
What happens when someone realises he's a one handed fighter and takes his lead hand away? Easier said than done as he's so big and long.

I don't see anything special he's another Dorticos type. B level Cuban, a decent basic, no thrills fighter with above average pop and a good amount of spite.
His best quality for me is his ability to boil down to SMW

Yoenli Hernandez is the Cuban to watch out for. I tell you right now all those MWs are food.
            Every last one of them.

The article and the worry of him not getting any fights makes no sense at this point.

He is young and already captured a belt if he just keeps winning the fights will come to him. Maybe not the biggest star Canelo Alvarez but he will get decent opposition over the next years if he keeps winning. You could.

Morrell was labelled as boogyman some years ago and it was predicted that everybody will avoid him. But it turned out differently. He had a big fight against Benavidez even after losing he got another decent fight against Khataev and even after this controversial win he almost got another big fight against Smith which would have put him in line for a real big fight.

Long story short this guy is young and if he is something special he will get some good fights
