Its been 7yrs since he caught AJ.
Since then he put in one of the worst HW title performances in history in, made a shot to bits Arreola look better than he ever did, edged a 50yr old Ortiz thanks to a bad call by the ref, got a gift draw vs a morbidly obese Miller. He could easily be 1-3 in those and that 1 a life and death affair with a 40 odd yr old Arreola

I can't believe people are still being suckered to in to a 'well if he actually finally for the first time in his entire life bothers to get in shape' thing. You might as well still be buying into Audley Harrison convincing everyone its his destiny. More chance of a one-legged bloke winning an ar5e kicking contest.

Itauma destroys Andy who has absolute zero advantages.
He doesn't even have the faster hands, he's not even the better counterpuncher here.

True, after catching AJ slipping then plodding around getting pasted in their rematch he just seemed to fall off fighting so infrequently that even Gary Russell Jr. is asking why he is so inactive.

Well he is just a "beltholder", he never successfully defended it.

So by some peoples definition he is not a champion, arguably the hardest part of being a champion is defending the status.

he could have had 10+ defenses if he went on a wilder run

Well in theory yes but he had no out for the AJ fight and he stuffed himself like a pig.

But even then there has been plenty of stiffs who've won belts and haven't managed a defence of said belt including during Wilders reign, Charles Martin being one such example.

And now he has blown his world champion money on 10s of thousands of tacos and needs more so he is coming back.

Fair.. I don't think he was ranked top ten by any of the alphabets either. However, there are fighters who are who didn't deserve to be ranked higher than him at ghat point imo.
