I already have Netflix, so I watched Justis Huni beat Frazer Clarke and Richard Riakporhe win the British heavyweight title against Jeamie TKV Tshikeva, then napped. I might have stayed on for Regis Prograis and Arslanbek Makhmudov, but I wanted them to win and I knew that wasn't happening, so why watch and make myself sad?

There was nothing memorable that happened in this Main Event last night, i did not expect there to be but still it was flat. Old Jiggles got his check, got his name out there and that was all i saw. Not kicking dirt, Netflix got what they wanted out of the deal as did everyone on the card but it was not a night at the fights like it used to be. There are so many old man fights anymore it is hard to get angry at them oldies. Just another reason that Boxing is not what it was or could be and it could be a lot better but A. J. v Jiggles is not the answer not even close.Comment

Huni v Clarke was about the best the card could have done with the HW but it was a far cry from the best i have ever seen in Boxing that is for sure. Rock v TKV come on guys even for self respect get a little in shape TKV who said it was about nothing but showing up and tipping scales to the limit. ? Spongy slop .............I already have Netflix, so I watched Justis Huni beat Frazer Clarke and Richard Riakporhe win the British heavyweight title against Jeamie TKV Tshikeva, then napped. It was a good performance from Tyson Fury in my opinion 'you see? I think people have throughout the years, really got caught up in the hype. When it comes to Tyson Fury and his style as a fighter'.
The reality is? Tyson Fury has never been a power puncher, and neither has his offense been destructive vs. most top level heavyweight fighters.
Note: If you take away Tyson Fury's performances vs. Deontay Wilder I & II 'at top level he has only scored one fluke knockout vs. a miles outside of his peak Dillian Whyte. And then he did knockout Steve USS Cunningham, in a competitive fight which saw him decked Fury'.
So for all the people complaining about this fight being an underwhelming fight 'well 85 to 90% of Tyson Fury's fights have all been underwhelming'.
Tyson Fury's win vs. Wladimir Kiltschko was a underwhelming performance 'it was no master class. Although it was a great win in terms of historical significance'.
Anthony Joshua's performance vs. Wladimir Kiltschko 17 months later 'was the heavyweight title fight, which sparked the division once again. It is still the greatest heavyweight title fight of this era, better than any of the Wilder vs. Fury fights, and all of Oleksandr Uysk's title defenses'.
To conclude: Overall I would rate Tyson Fury's performances as satisfactory. And? Fury has also taken the opportunity to confront Anthony Joshua at a vulnerable time in his career again i.e. those are the only times when Fury wants to pipe up and confront Joshua'.
Tyson Fury has spent most of his career, tactically avoiding Anthony Joshua 'his latest retirement in my opinion was a tactical move to get out of that fight'.
I agree with Anthony Joshua that, Tyson Fury is in no position to make demands towards Joshua 'he is not a World Champion, and he has lost his last three fights vs. Francis Ngannou and Oleksandr Uysk twice back to back'.
I would not be surprised if Anthony Joshua jumped straight back into the game vs. Tyson Fury 'but ideally maybe he should have one real fight before fighting Fury' etc.

I remain unconvinced.
Heavyweights can beat heavyweights. The most dangerous thing you can do is fight the guys who aren't hand picked for you.
Fury's opponents have been hand picked since his return from his drugs ban. Seferi and Pianeta were easy beats, they wanted Wilder because they knew what many of us did, they chose Schwarz and Wallin, they chose Chisora.
The only times he faced a fighter that his team didn't hand pick were Whyte and Usyk. Whyte wasn't a big problem and had pretty much been aged out by Wilder. Usyk beat him twice.
They specifically picked Mak for the same reason that they picked all the others - because he was perfect to make Fury look good. And yet he didn't look that good.
In contrast the guy you think can't win spent the best part of his career fighting the fights he had to fight as a unified titlist.
The comparison isn't just what you think they looked like in their fights. It's who they fought. Fury would never choose Joshua in their primes... the style is all wrong. That's why he avoided him.Last edited by Toffee; 04-17-2026, 02:36 PM.Comment
