Don't expect me to give Cotto any mad kudos for beating Paquiao.

TS is on point with this one Cotto gets a big payday, Manny gets the respect. If Manny really wanted to prove himself at WW he wouldnt have made Cotto come in at a catchweight! Not knocking Pac cause I think he's a great fighter, but he's doing the same thing Mayweather did, Pac is just more respected so nobody is dwelling on it.

Someone had a good point stating that HW's often fight with a 10-20lb weight difference why does 4-7lbs make such a difference at the lower weigths? Are the little guys that fragile?

Many people will do the same just taking at face value that Pac used to fight at 106, but Pac has fought at 140 and 147 and looked damn good doing it. It's not a career defining victory or anything, but Cotto deserves some props.

Nah, I can't give him much credit even though I am a fan of his.....this is just for money, he even said it himself. This is not a meaningful resume wise for Cotto.

pacman is favourite with all odds compilers

              cotto is the underdog!!!

              so if cotto wins

he deserves respect and he should demand it

if an underdog defeats the favoured fighter then he has achieved something!!!

              i have cotto on points

That means nothing, the favoritism is all in fans minds....literally. It may turn out to be no reflection of reality if Pac turns out to be overwhelmed by the size difference. Him being favored to win just would make everyone's thinking in that case in correct nothing more and not a better win for Cotto.

                  i disagree

odds compliers have a job to make the odds favourable to pacman fans and cotto fans.... the odds compiler role entails of making realistic odds!!

so in this case pacman is a 2/1 on favourtie maybe shorter
                  cotto is an 6/4 against

cotto being the underdog defeats the favoured guy deserves respected because according to naive and deluded fans that cotto is shot

so we will see when cotto wins by points

Yeah they make odds out of what? ideas, imagination.....what plays out in real life may be nothing like what ppl think in their minds.....there are other factors like Pac not being tested truly at WW and if he fails, how great of a win is it for Cotto? Even if Pac does well, then Cotto struggled with a blown up sfw.....one who is good enough to compete with WWs but still a sfw.

Odds mean nothing. You're talking about ********. We're talking about the actual fighters themselves. pacquiao to the best of my knowledge is the underdog here. He is going to fight the bigger, stronger boxer who by an overhwelming margin has proven himself in the 147 division. Has Pacquiao done that?
