Don't expect me to give Cotto any mad kudos for beating Paquiao.

Regardless who wins, I got respect for both of them. They both are great fighters, im just tired of how people downplay's fighters wins. When Pacquiao wins against someone, its always "Hes shot", "Hes weight drained", "Hes past prime". Same goes for Cotto, they both deserve respect because they fight one of the best, unlike someone we all know.

I think its dumb that people will give Pac credit if he wins...(or not, maybe they will just throw all the excuses in the world up) but not Cotto credit if he beats pac.

There are rare exceptional fighters that can move up in weight and still be extremely competitive and/or dominant. Mayweather and Pacquiao are two such cases.

I give Cotto full credit if he stops the force of nature known as Pacquiao... You'd be a fool not to.
pac isn't a WW... he's only had one fight at jr WW...

          this is ****in ridiculous.

Cotto gains nothing in this fight but a payday. pac is too small.

The DLH-Pac fight was classed as a WW non title bout.

So he has fought at WW once.

Besides, if a fighter is to move up in weight..and they have a good track record in the lower classes, why deny them? How are they to prove themselves that they can carry power into the higher weight classes when you are already naysaying them beforehand? They have to start somewhere.

And, what if Cotto loses, which I consider a good possibility? What will your answer be then?

            Probly some excuse.

No he didn't. He didn't prove anything. He beat a defenseless Hatton along with a dehydrated Oscar.

lol @ these adjectives people use.

Defenseless, Dehydrated.. Weight Drained...Blown Up... Shot....Over the Hill...

And these adjectives are always tacked on AFTER a victory, hardly ever before. Basically what it amounts is people not wanting to give a worthy fighter his props, so they come up with all the excuses their feeble minds can feverishly churn out. All in all, it is relatively de****able.

What I'm saying is, a Cotto victory won't be big freakin' surprise no matter how much Cotto fans say otherwise. Cotto is the bigger, stronger, and arguably better boxer.

Manny hasn't done anything signficant to conclude he would defeat a legitimate WW in Cotto. You know?

I do not discount the possibility of cotto winning...

But I wonder what the adjective will be for Cotto if Pac beats him. I know there will be one, or several.

and that's what I'm talking about. Some people just refuse to give daps where daps is due

Considering Pacquiao is at an advantageous position with the demands for a catch-weight, a bigger ring, and not to mention the new "diamond belt" created for the special division (event?) and being the favorite -- if Cotto wins, I'm sure it'll be a big deal.

I'm certain both fighters and their fans will be celebrating big if either one wins.

Manny is considered the super star of Asia, P4P champ and if Cotto beats him, Manny's status will drop a notch or two.
